I always used to use my gluesticks on an angle, and suprise surprise, they went mushy. Funny how a simple little change can make gluing a lot neater. Love the video tips - cheers!

Not only does it help, how to use a glue stick PROPERLY, but it’ll save me lots of grrrrrrr from now on, when I’ll glue paper on something. Which is pretty much everyday. Thanks a lot.

  • always wondered about the brands…. good to know that the brand does not really matter. My problem is I always want to try to make something out of the tube! Sheez I am hopeless.

  • Fun little video. I tend to favor digital collage because I’m so inexperienced with adhesives. I recently discovered how great glue sticks are when it comes to collages because it does work, it does stick. Good tips to keep from making a mess — now I know why I would end up with a glue glob that would create bumps. I also need to keep a damp cloth. I hate it when I get glue on the fronts of my collages. Good to know that brand doesn’t make too much of a difference. I agree with her comments about the blue glue.

Another very helpful video, Lisa - thank you SO much for taking your time to share your wisdom! Who would have thought glue stick pointers would be so helpful, and they sure are to me. MUCH APPRECIATED.
    Cheers.

Thanks again for your informative video. There is so much misinformation out there about glue sticks. This settles it. I just purchased the same brand from Staples.

I thought I already knew everything there was to using a glue stick. I had no idea there was a technique for it. I knew that everytime I used one I got glop on it and couldn’t figure out why. I’m one of those people who would wind out the stick, thinking more was better. Now I know better, and my sticks might last a little longer. Not to mention not having glue all over the place. Thanks, Lisa. Now I’ll go take my sheepish little self and go play with my glue sticks…properly!
