So many people have asked me questions about composition, I’ve started this collection of layout templates. They’ll help with organizing your compositions, and teach you some basic layout techniques.

This first layout template is quite simple—just an interesting background, with a focal image floating in the center.

Expanding on the first layout template, this time we’ll float the central focal image on four background pieces to create some layers.
