The MIM Bribe Giveaway
Since the Summer Comment Giveaway was so successful in encouraging more people to post comments whenever they read articles, I thought I’d try the same idea to boost the participation in Make It Mondays. Here’s the deal:
- Between August 17th and August 31st, make a piece of artwork based on any of the Make It Mondays themes posted. You’ll find the whole list of them here. Since MIM challenges never expire, you can post a piece of artwork based on any one of the themes at any time you wish.
- Post a picture of the finished piece on your blog, web site or photostream. If you don’t have a blog or web site, just sign up for a free account at Flickr, and uploade the photo there. While you’re there, join the Make It Mondays Flickr group so you can add your photos to the pool.
- Come back to Make It Mondays, find the post that reflects the theme of your artwork, and post a link to it in the comments for that post.
- Each comment that links to a unique piece of your artwork will count as one entry in the giveaway drawing. That means you can only use a piece of artwork ONCE, and comment about it ONCE. If you want two entries, make two pieces of artwork, and post two different comments. If you post multiple comments pointing to the same piece of artwork, they will invalidate all your entries—so don’t do it!
- On September 1st, I’ll draw one name to receive the giveaway goodies shown here. They include a watchmaker tin pendant, an altered candy tin pendant, a metal leafed sunflower medallion, an altered altoids tin, a wood bookmark and a hammered metal bookmark.
That’s it. Now, Go Make Something!
